The Lady Wolves continue to get faster in the pool as they gave North Farmington a fight in the dual meet last Thursday.
The Clarkston Girls Swim and Dive team finished six points behind the visitors but competed their focus for the week – getting better and making it to the county and state cuts during the 96-90 loss.
“I couldn’t have asked for more,” said Amber Miller, head coach. “Across the board they swam the best times.”
One of the highlights from the night included the Lady Wolves finished in the top three places in the 100-yard butterfly event with Caroline Hughes in first, 1:00.47; Betsey Walkowiak, second, 1:02.52; and Kate Rogowski, third, 1:04.72.
“It was nice to see us take all three spots in the event,” said Miller. “It’s exciting for where the team will be in a year or two when we build some depth.”
Another highlight was Ashleigh Allen finishing in first place in the 100-yard breastroke, 1:11.32; and the 200-IM, 2:14.53, while also getting a new state cut.
