“Pops” was the best. A man of few words, he was my favorite teacher and baseball coach. He was my JV baseball coach in 1976. He didn’t bat an eye when I was in 3 gym classes on numerous occasions, I guess Shakespeare wasn’t for me! We had a great team and thinking back of all the TIME he must have dedicated to Clarkston sports is unmeasurable. He was a football coach and a master with a “Fungo” bat for hitting baseball practice. I loved playing for “Pops” and have never forgot his guidance!! RIP and thanks..

Was on same team with Mark. I was, “Wild”,as a pitcher and a person. “Pops” settled (on the mound, at least) me and brought out the best in me. He was patient, kind, and tolerant. I coached baseball for 15 years and he was a great mentor and inspiration. R.I.P. .

Pops was our coach in 78 through 80 in football and baseball. He was truly one of the great mentors in my life. He was firm but always fair. He will be missed by many and we can only thank him for everything he taught us. RIP POPS
