Wayne Beutler and his Troop 71476 from Andersonville Elementary hosted the third annual Clarkston Area Girl Scout Pinewood Derby race, March 25 at St. Trinity Lutheran Church.
In building their cars, scouts learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills.
Trophies were awarded for the top three fastest in each level: Daisy, Brownie, and Junior/Cadette, and overall, as well as four categories” Most Unique Materials, Flashiest Car, Best use of character, and Best use of Girl Scout Spirit.
