The bright sun gleamed as children eyed the colorful eggs covering the field at Springfield Oaks Activity Center last Friday.
They anxiously waited until the horn sounded and the Annual Easter Egg Hunt held by Springfield Parks and Recreation began.
Once the field was empty of eggs, kids opened them up to find special treats of candy, toys and some included prize tickets for large Easter baskets.
The kids also enjoy meeting the Easter Bunny, petting real bunnies from the Oakland County 4-H Youth Rabbit and Cavy Club, and eating popcorn.
