Students learned about the law in local courts during Clarkston Area Optimists Club Respect for Law program this past April.
Fourth graders visited Judge Joseph Fabrizio’s courtroom at the 52-2 District Court in Independence Township, April 24. The students viewed several cases, and the judge, his staff, and the participating lawyers explained the proceedings and answered students’ questions.

The courtroom visits were sponsored by the Clarkston Area Optimist Club. The Optimists invited the students to their breakfast meeting, May 10, where they met with guest speaker Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputy Rodney White, and his K9 partner, Diago.
