Clarkston High School’s Team RUSH 27 heads to the Michigan FIRST Robotics Competition State Championship at Saginaw Valley State University, April 11-14. They are seeded #1 after winning the district meet in Livonia, March 29-31.
“I was very proud of our team,” said Kyle Hughes, coach. “We had a rough start, but never gave up. The students worked really hard to get the data we needed to pick our championship alliance. The drive team never gave up even though we had some rough rounds. It was just an overall fantastic win.”
RUSH had a record of 16-2-0 for the tournament, 30-16-0 overall this season.
The team won the tournament with Lake Orion, Team 302 and the Garden City, Team 6116, and earned the Gracious Professionalism Award.
