Walter Dean Noon

Walter Dean Noon of Clarkston passed away on April 29, 2017, at the age of 86.  Beloved Husband of Lois Harmon Noon& the late Sally Ann Jones Noon; loving Father of Valerie (Jim) Holmes and Curtis Noon; loving Step-Father of Bradford  (Rebecca) Harmon and Kelsey (Bill)Yates; proud and loving Grandfather of C.J. Noon, Carson Noon, Blake Harmon, Will Yates, Kayleigh Yates and Daniel  Yates.  Survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.  Predeceased by Father Ralph Noon, Mother Ethel Noon, Brother Charles Noon (Helen), Brother Raymond Noon (Sharon),  Sister Lucille Noon, and Son Kelly Noon.  Walter was an Engineer who retired from General  Motors in 1992 after nearly 40 years of service.  He was an avid outdoorsman and particularly loved being at his chalet up north.  Not only was he a world traveler, he was an enthusiastic  curler, golfer, tennis player, skier and bridge player.  He was actively involved in the Troy Exchange club for many years.  Walt greatly loved of going to watch his Grandchildren’s sporting events and band concerts.   Family will receive friends on May 11th at 10:30am at Clarkston United Methodist Church (6600 Waldon Rd, Village of Clarkston, MI 48346) with Memorial Service following at 11am.  Private  interment will take place at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarkston United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
