Warren home featured in SCAMP Tour

Martin and Tracy Warren along with son James are stepping up and opening their Clarkston home to hundreds of guests for the 2017 SCAMP Home Tour.
Martin and Tracy bought their home in 2011 sight unseen and moved to Clarkston from California to be a part of the local community and to enjoy the serene nature that surrounds the home including deer, foxes and many native trees.
They have recently finished the basement which was designed around Martin’s love of barn wood and was imported from Bois Blanc Island – Boblo Island – to adorn the ceilings and many other details including the picture frames leading down the stairway. The Warrens outdoor gardens, water feature and fire pit complete this picture perfect family home.
As a North Oakland SCAMP Funding Corporation board member, Tracy and her family were more than willing to include their home on the tour and were also able to convince two of their neighbors to open their doors to benefit SCAMP.
The tour on June 3-4 also includes the homes of the Bridgeman family, Davis family, Dubeck family and David Friedlaender.
Participants can choose between a Saturday tour with prices starting at $100 and a more casual, $30 Sunday tour. On both days, check-in takes place at Depot Park in downtown Clarkston. Transportation to the homes is provided by shuttles.
After a 5 p.m. Saturday tour, participants who purchase Patron Night reservations are invited to a party at the Ellis Barn in Springfield Oaks County Park. There will be a live and silent auction during the party. Guests are encouraged to wear summer cocktail attire. A strolling dinner with wine and beer is included.
Saturday participants should check in at Depot Park between 5 and 6 p.m. The houses close at 7 p.m., when the party starts.
Sunday, June 4, reservations are also available for a $30 afternoon tour. Participants who sign up in advance receive a free box lunch, but last-minute supporters are also welcome.
Participants should arrive at the park between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The houses are open from noon to 5 p.m.
Those interested can register by visiting clarkstonscamp.com or by calling 248-623-8089. Tickets will not be issued; a master reservation list is used.
