DeJose, Anger lead Brandon netters to two straight wins

The Brandon boys tennis team is firing on all cylinders in the beginning of the season.
The Blackhawks won their second matchup in as many days April 6, defeating host Lakeland 6-2. Brandon won two of four singles matches, and swept all four doubles matches in earning the win.
In singles action, Brandon’s Jeremiah DeJose defeated Bill Lloyd at #1 singles 6-1, 6-3, and Jeremy Anger defeated Collin McNutt at #2 singles 6-2, 6-4.
At doubles, Aaron Bayliss and Kyle Rascher defeated Chris Johnson and Dann Kessler at #1 doubles 6-1, 6-3; Nick Falzon and Garrett Warrilow defeated Kyle Miller and Eric Morsehead at #2 doubles 6-4, 6-0; Tom Gunnels and Troy Nuccio defeated Pat Oaker and Drew Wagner at #3 doubles 6-1, 6-1; and David Hughes and Steve Sanday defeated Cameron Houghtaling and Scott Robinson at #4 doubles 6-1, 6-3.
The Blackhawks dominated host Davison April 5, sweeping the Cardinals 8-0.
In singles action, DeJose defeated John Archer at #1 singles 6-3, 7-5; Anger defeated Nate Eller at #2 singles 6-2, 4-6, 6-4; Brian Quarella defeated Mickey Horton at #3 singles 7-5, 6-1; and Glenn Brado defeated Aaron Wehol at #4 singles 6-0, 6-2.
On the doubles end, Bayliss and Rascher defeated Todd LaVicta and Chad LaFeldt at #1 doubles 6-2, 6-1; Falzon and Warrilow defeated Shane Stikekatiner and Dave Merriman at #2 doubles 2-6, 6-0, 6-3; Nuccio and Gunnels defeated Kevin Walsh and Kyle McCormick at #3 doubles 6-3, 6-1; and Hughes and Sanday defeated Mike Coleman and Tom Stuart at #4 doubles 6-0, 6-0.
