The Clarkston Girls Cross Country team won two dual meets last week with wins over Lake Orion and Canton.
They won their race against the Dragons at Clintonwood Park, Sept. 30, 20-42. Alexandra Brigham led the pack, finishing in second place, 19:05.6. The girls took the next four spots with Ava Tereau in third place, 19:26.83; Maya Bergman, fourth, 19:40.12; Mattie Drennan, fifth, 19:43.44; and Shannon Billette, 20:09.07.
They won their race against Canton on Saturday, 21-36. Brigham led the race, finishing in first place, 19:19. The top five runners also included Bergman in third place, 19:42; Tereau, fourth, 19:47; Drennan, sixth, 19:59; and Rebekah Wilson, seventh, 20:28.
The boys team won their race against Canton, 25-30. Andrew Sesti led the race, finishing in first place in the time of 16:12. The top five runners also included Joey Taverna, third place, 17:18; Owen Kolean, fourth, 17:33; Andrew Floros, eighth, 18:17; and Valen Kurmaniak, ninth, 18:20.
The Wolves lost to Lake Orion, 26-32. Sesti led the race finishing in first place at the time of 16:37.79.
The top five runners for the Wolves also included Taverna in third place, 16:55.05; Kolean, sixth, 17:10.06; Henry Poploskie, tenth, 17:43.77; and Kurmaniak, 12th, 17:53.61.
The teams head to Oxford on Thursday. The varsity runners compete in the Oakland County Championship with the boys race on Friday and the girls race on Saturday.

The Clarkston Girls Varsity Golf team heads to the MHSAA Division 1 Region 5 meet this Wednesday at Twin Lake Golf Club.
The Wolves tied for 13th place at the Division 1 Oakland County Championship at Fieldstone Golf Club, Sept. 30.
They finished with 411. Elin Gebrowsky hit a 92. Madison Liles had 100; Alexandria Lecureux, 105; and Taylor Hartline, 114.
