Art in the Atrium

Clarkston Cultural Arts Council is hosting their fourth annual Art in the Atrium, A Night to Celebrate the Arts, from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at The Gateway, 7150 N. Main Street.
Art in the Atrium is the main fundraiser for the year for the council, which brings to Clarkston arts programs such as Harmony in the Park, Easels in the Park, Inside Out, Community Singalong, art classes for all ages, Live Model Draw/Paint sessions, as well as partnering with the Detroit Institute of Arts and local businesses for the mural on the side of the Woodshop.
The event will feature live music, food and drink, raffles, and fellowship with artists, patrons, business owners, and friends, as well as opportunities to purchase art for private collections through a juried art sale.
The Clarkston based band “Be the Dog” will play the hippest classic rock and obscure covers, and Ann Arbor based bass and violin string duo “Westbound Situation” will perform original jazz/bluegrass and progressive string music.
Tickets are $45. Call 248-266-5774 or check clarkstonarts.org.
