Athletes of The Week: Tourney win for ‘Dawgs

The Clarkston Riverdawgs 12U team won the South Farmington Blues Invitational the weekend of June 16 and 17.
The tournament was a USSSA (United States Speciality Sports Association) World Series Qualifier and the Riverdawgs beat the host team, South Farmington Blues, in an tense back and forth game which ended 10-7.
The Riverdawgs head to Cooperstown Dreams Park in upstate New York on July 6 for a week to play in one of the most prestigious youth sports tournaments in America.

They close out the season at the USSSA World Series in late July in Canton.
The team consists of Preston Stout, Peyton Fitzsimonds, Andrew Floros, Nick Young, Ryan Traynoff, Matthew Taverna, Grant Summers, John Kaul, Carson White, Adam Denver and Adam Davis.
The coaching staff consists of Brad Stout, head coach, with Marc Summers and Tony Floros, assistant coaches.
