Coal-tar ban moves forward

City Council approved first reading of a new ordinance banning coal-tar pavement sealents in the city. Coal-tar-based sealants contain Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons, which is dangerous to people and natural waterways, said Council member Susan Wylie.
