Employees at Michigan State University Federal Credit Union’s Clarkston Branch, 8055 Ortonville Road, picked Blessings In A Backpack for their Days of Caring School Supply Drive this year.
“What a wonderful surprise when Chris Garrett, manager of the new MSU Credit Union, called to tell us that Blessings In A Backpack had been chosen by their employees,” said Krystal Bergman of Blessings In A Backpack, Clarkston.
“Chris graciously arranged for the donations from all three offices participating, in Auburn Hills, Ortonville, and Clarkston, to be delivered to the Clarkston office for a convenient one-stop pick-up for us,” Bergman said. “It was overwhelming to see the generosity of the employees! An incredible amount of every kind of school supply you could think of and 30 very nice backpacks too. The supplies were distributed to some of our most needy students.”
The supplies were delivered the last week of August to be available for students the first week of school.
“We so appreciate they selected our BIAB children to receive the supplies they need as they started the new school year,” Bergman said.
