Julie Baker, founder and executive director of Michigan Songbird Protection Coalition, will be Clarkston Area backyard Birders Club’s guest speaker on July 31.
“For many years, Julie Baker has been in the forefront for the protection of our songbirds, including mourning doves and sandhill cranes,” said Bob McGowan, founder and president of the birders club. “Her strong advocacy has helped prevent an open hunting season on these gentle birds.”
