The Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce will honor Mary Hydorn, founder of Kids in Motion Pediatric Therapy Services, as Woman Business Leader of the Year at its Women in Business event, Thursday, Feb. 28, from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Fountains Golf and Banquet, 6060 Maybee Road.
Hydorn founded Kids in Motion 25 years ago after seeing a need for local therapy services for families in her area, including her own family. The business has expanded to four locations, providing therapists in school districts and serving thousands of families.
The award is dedicated to honoring a woman who has shaped the success of her organization or business, and demonstrated leadership, professional achievement, and contributed not only to her workplace, but also her community. The essence of this award is to discover and reward exceptional women for their leadership, mentoring skills, and/or ideas that stand out from their colleagues.
This event will feature four inspiring local business women, a brunch buffet, and mimosa bar.
