Champions at middle school county meet

The eighth grade boys track and field team from Clarkston Junior High School won the 37th Oakland County Middle School Championship with 94.5 points, June 2.
Two relay teams finished as champions.
The 400-meter relay team with Aidan O’Neill, Mason Sidaway, Tyson Scott and Maliky Cintron finished in first place in the time of 48.15.
The 800-meter relay team with Jack Kopsch, Gabe Mansour, Lukas Boman and Colton Williams finished in first place in the time of 1:39.33.
Results for the track events: in the 70-meter dash, Cintron in second place in the time of 8.62; Kospch, fourth, 8.84; Boman, sixth, 12.18; Williams, seventh, 12.19; 200-meter dash, Boman, second, 24.72; Kopsch, 12th, 25.42; 400-meter run, O’Neill, 11th, 59.39; 800-meter run, Ryan Barnes, 16th, 2:25.33; 1,600-meter run, Brendan Sesti, third, 4:56.81; Barnes, ninth, 5:07.90; 3,200-meter run, Sesti, second, 10:51.17; 55-meter hurdles, Casey Brierly, third, 8.86; 200-meter hurdles, Braydon Johnson, eighth, 29.54; and Brierly, 16th, 30.46.
The 3,200-meter relay team of Sesti, Barnes, Jake Sweet and Trent Logan finished in second place, 9:22.93.

The 1,600-meter relay team with Mansour, O’Neill, Ryan Gifford and Mason Miller finished in sixth place, 4:04.74.
Results for the field events: in the shot put, Mansour in sixth place with the distance of 37-02; long jump, Cintron, second, 18-00; and Williams, third, 17-10.
The seventh grade boys from Sashabaw Middle School finished in 11th place with 20 points out of 35 teams.
Wendell Childs finished as champion in the 800-meter run with the time of 2:09.09.
Finishes in the track and field events: in the 400-meter run, Kiernan Riddle, 31st, 1:03.27; 1,600-meter run, Smith Wasilk, 20th, 5:27.17; 3,200-meter run, Blake Robison, 18th, 11:54.09; 55-meter hurdles, Malachi Switzer, 15th, 9.48; 200-meter hurdles, Mick Mahaffy, 20th, 31.02; and long jump, Alexander Morgan, 19th, 15-05.
Two relay teams finished in fourth place. The 1,600-meter relay team with Riddle, Childs, Mahaffy and Alexander Morgan finished in the time of 4:02.96. The 3,200-meter relay team with Riddle, Wasilk, Robison and Childs finished in 9:47.90.
The 800-meter relay team with Switzer, Morgan, Mahaffy and Drew French finished in 12th place, 1:45.50.
The 400-meter relay team with John Peckham, Liam Gushen, Jameson Duty and John Stewart finished in 21st place, 51.93.
The top five teams also included Novi in second place with 80 points; Oxford, third, 40; Muir, fourth, 35; and East from Farmington Hills, fifth, 29.
The eighth grade girls track and field team from Clarkston Junior High School finished in 13th place with 22 points out of 35 teams.
Results for the track events: in the 400-meter run, Kylie Golub in 14th place in the time of 1:06.92; 800-meter run, Chloe Trotter, seventh, 2:34.62; 1,600-meter run, Sydney Fischer, 20th, 6:01.58; Ava Danielson, 29th, 6:20.59; 3,200-meter run, Fischer, tenth, 12:57.82; 55-meter hurdles, Caitlin Poterek, seventh, 10.35; and 200-meter hurdles, Danielle Wisser, 12th, 33.13.
The 3,200-meter relay team with Danielson, Fischer, Wisser and Trotter finished in second place in the time of 10:43.48.
The 1,600-meter relay team with Golub, Trotter, Kayla Butki and Ashley De Hesselle finished in fifth place, 4:36.65.
The 400-metre relay team with Poterek, Emi Catinella, Emma Garner and Skylar Drinkard finished in eighth, 55.52.
The 800-meter relay team with Butki, Drinkard, Lana Sloan and Savannah Golub finished in 12th place, 1:59.61.
For field events, in shot put, Kennedy Baillie in 12th place with the distance of 28-10.50; high jump, Jenna Brown, 12th, 4-04; and long jump, Amelia Floros, fourth, 14-07.
The girls track and field team from Sashabaw Middle School tied for 26th place with 5.5 points.
Results for the track events: in the 400-meter run, Avery DeGrendel in 28th place in the time of 1:12.30; 800-meter run, Addison Brigham, 34th, 2:54.32; 1,600-meter run, Ella Pierce, 26th, 6:08.72; 3,200-meter run, Paityn Sweet, 13th, 13:14.79; 55-meter hurdles, Riley Jurand, 16th, 10.44; 200-meter hurdles, Jurand, ninth, 32.87; and Adyson Tillier, 31st, 35.66.
The 3,200-meter relay team with DeGrendel, Brigham, Robison and Sweet finished in 19th place in the time of 11:39.63.
The 1,600-meter relay team with DeGrendel, Allie Walker, Ana McMurray and Emery McMurray finished in 20th place in the time of 5:16.59.
The 800-meter relay team with Kendal Rusette, Sophia Guy, Lainey Brown and Laney Champagne finished in 25th place in the time of 2:05.27.
The 400-meter relay team with Guy, Sophia Love, sixth grader Kaylin Ziemba and sixth grader Ava Wasilk finished in 30th place in the time 58.67.
Results for the field events: in the shot put, Aydia Bartz finished in fifth place with distance of 31-01.5; Ellyson Ryan, 19th place, 26-11.50; high jump, Morgan Nicholson, seventh, 4-06; and long jump, Laney Champagne, 22nd, 12-03.25.
The top five teams included Hart and Oakview tied at first place with 58 points; Berkshire, second, 54.5; Royal Oak, fourth, 37; Oak Park Preparatory Academy, fifth, 34.
