Clarkston City Council voted 7-0, Oct. 23, to award the bid for 8,000 feet of road crack filling, using hot rubber, to True North Asphalt for $4,000. Bids were also received from Oppman Construction and A&R Seal Coating, all for $4,000.
A resolution to award the bid to repair a retaining wall at 80 Robertson Court to Clarkston DPW for $1,892 was also approved unanimously. Bids were also received from Brimacombe Landscaping of Clarkston for $3,000, and Lakeside Landscaping for $6,200.
The wall is on private property but was originally built by the city without the owner’s approval, said city attorney Thomas Ryan.
