ROYAL OAK — The Clarkston Boys Swim and Dive team finished in fifth place at the OAA White League Meet at Royal Oak High School, Feb. 26-28.
Clarkston finished with three swimmers and one diver claiming All-League in six events with Blake Davidson in the 100-yard butterfly; Braedan Covintree in the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle; Ben Guzal in 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard IM; and Jonathan George, 1-meter diving
For individual events, in the 50-yard freestyle, Edward Zarzycki finished in 15th place in the time of 24.84; Davidson, 16th, 24.87; 100-yard butterfly, Davidson, sixth, 57.39; Zarzycki, ninth, 59.04; Diego Cordoba-Ortega, 14th, 1:04.90; Ryan Kornas, 15th, 1:04.93; 100-yard freestyle, Covintree, fourth, 49.00; 100-yard backstroke, Guzal, third, 55.75; Connor Quinlan, 12th, 1:03.45; 100-yard breaststroke, Weston Miller, 15th, 1:11.49; 200-yard freestyle, Covintree, second, 1:46.62; Jack Smith, 11th, 1:57.27; 200-yard IM, Guzal, fifth, 2:06.90; and 500-yard freestyle, Smith, 12th, 5:21.77.
The team of Guzal, Miller, Davidson and Covintree finished in fourth place in the 200-yard medley relay in the time of 1:43.60. The team of Guzal, Davidson, Smith and Covintree finished in fourth place in the 200-yard freestyle relay, 1:33.29. The team of Zarzycki, Quinlan, Smith and David Ryan finished in sixth place in the 400-yard freestyle relay, 3:40.65.

George finished in third place in the 1-meter diving event with 279.70 points in 11 dives.
Stoney Creek finished in first place with 447 points; Bloomfield Hills, second, 396; Groves, third, 385.5; Oxford, fourth, 269; Clarkston, fifth, 215.5; and Royal Oak, sixth, 215.
The Wolves compete in the MHSAA Division 1 Boys Swim and Dive State Championship at the Holland Aquatic Center this Friday and Saturday.
Covintree qualified to compete in the in the 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard freestyle events.
Guzal qualified to compete in the 100-yard backstroke.
Covintree and Guzal will join Davidson and Smith to compete in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
George qualified to compete in the 1-meter diving event after taking ninth place with 268.20 points at the MHSAA Division 1 Dive Region 2 competition at Oxford High School, March 6.
