The Wolves ruled the pool last Thursday when they hosted Ferndale.

Amber Miller, head coach, added it was a good meet for a number of reasons including remember why they love the sport and remember the joy of competing.
“Getting here and getting to show what we have worked hard. I think we accomplished it,” Miller said. “We had some personal bests which we don’t look for at this point of the season. This point of the season they are just trying to get through the mud and swim through it. They did great. We had some best times and most of all they enjoyed it and celebrated the night.”
She added a lot of the girls swam in events they normally don’t compete.
“Tonight was an opportunity they could try something new, try something they haven’t done in a year or two, have some fun with it, see where they are at,” Miller said, adding it took the pressure of the time clock off and allowed the swimmers to enjoy the race.

The Wolves host the the OAA League meet November 3-5.
“We barely lost to Rochester,” Miller said. “So that’s really who we are going after at the league meet. We are confident with the diving we have and where everyone is at tapered in the league meet. If we can stay healthy, that will be the key. A lot of girls out tonight just with stomach flu or what is going around. It is our biggest hurdle right now is making sure they are healthy and strong going into league meet.”
