Community meeting on park

The Friends of Depot Park hosts a community conversation about Clarkston’s Depot Park, 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Clarkston Independence District Library,
“Please come and contribute to a discussion probing the question, ‘What qualitative enhancements would we like to see in our park,’” said Eric Haven, chairman. “We invite you to join a community conversation about our beautiful Depot Park. We have a jewel here.”
The city park and surrounding wetlands are recognized as a “Watertown” by the Clinton River Watershed Council, Haven said.
“Do you recognize this landscape? Would it surprise you to know it is not on the savannah in Africa but right here in Clarkston? How naturally beautiful,” he said. “It represents about 80 percent of what we call Depot Park.”
Clarkston residents and park users from the area are welcome. For further information or with questions, contact Haven at haveneric@gmail.com or 248-891-3688.
