Tuesday Musicale of Greater Pontiac hosts the Troy Country Fiddlers on Friday, Nov. 22, at the Central United Methodist Church, 3882 Highland Road, Waterford.
“They dance and move around – the only member of the group who sits is the cellist,” said Mary Ann LaMonte, Tuesday Musicale president.
“Tuesday Musicale does such wonderful musical programs,” said Nancy Kramarczyk of Clarkston, who has been a member of the club for the past 10 years. “I thoroughly enjoy them all.”
Alan McNair has been the director of the Troy Country Fiddlers, made up of youth musicians from Troy High School, for 27 years. All 30 students are members of the Troy Symphony Orchestra. Each year, they use traditional choreographed numbers along with new additions to their program.
Refreshments of pie and ice cream will be served at 7 p.m., preceding the 7:30 p.m. performance.
Tickets are $20 and reservations can be obtained by sending a check made out to “Tuesday Musicale of Greater Pontiac,” to Hazel Lawrence, 2698 Escondido, Waterford, 48329. For additional information, call LaMonte at 248-673-8187 or refer to www.tuesdaymusicale.org.
