Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda?

Clarkston cagers had one more loss to deal with this past week.
Competing in the Sixth Annual Martin Luther King Classic Sunday at Pontiac Northern, they fell to Arthur Hill of Saginaw, 73-66.
The Wolves held the lead going into the second half of the game, but from there, Arthur Hill fought back to a tie with two minutes left in the game.
With a minute left, Matt Kamieniecki brought the Wolves into the lead.
Arthur Hill’s Omari Humes responded with his own basket, putting Saginaw into the lead by one point.
Arthur Hill quickly ran the court and distanced the score by six more points, winning the game 73-66.
‘Bottom line, I thought we could’ve won the game,? said Coach Dan Fife. ‘I thought coulda, woulda, shoulda. But there’s a reason that team is number one. That’s a good team. They took our heat, they took our baskets and came out on top.
‘Losses just decide who you are,? said Fife. ‘We know we have lost two games. We lost games we were suppose to win and won eight. In a lot of them, we were in positions to lose but won.?
High scorers for the game were Brandon Pokley, 22; Kamieniecki, 21; and Tom Staton, 13.
‘Just excited to play again,? said Fife going into this week’s games against Adams and Pontiac Central.
The team played Adams on Tuesday. Check out www.ClarkstonNews.com to see how they did.
On Friday, the Wolves travel to play Pontiac Central. JV starts at 5:30 with Varsity following.
