District championship

The Wolves won the MHSAA District Championship by five strokes last Wednesday at Twin Lakes Golf Club in Oakland Township.
The Clarkston Varsity Golf team shot a 315 for the victory and the opportunity to advance to the regional meet
Junior Brady Dice led the team with a 77. Junior Noah Sampson shot a 78; freshman Noah Bridgeman, 79; freshman Harry Bowman, 81; and freshman Patrick Deardorff, 82.
During the district meet Rochester, 320; Lapeer, 323; Troy Athens, 323; Troy, 324; and Rochester Adams, 326; also qualified for regional.
The boys compete in the regional meet at Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford, June 1.

The Mountaineers also had success in their district meet in Division 4 at Fountains Golf Club as they won the championship last Wednesday.
Clarkston Everest Collegiate finished with a 334 with senior Tyler Rozwadowski leading the way with a 79. Junior Joey McMahon had a 82; freshman Mitchell Lowney, 83; sophomore JC James, 90; and Nick Korns, 91.
Joining the Mountaineers at the regional meet this Wednesday at Westwynd Golf Course in Oakland Township are Birmingham Roeper, 360; Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes, 372; New Lothrop, 374; Auburn Hills Oakland Christian, 386; and Genesee Christian, 389.
Clarkston resident Clay Senerius was the top finisher with a 78 during the meet as he competed for Our Lady of the Lakes.
