Dixie road work

Repaving work on Dixie Highway from Oakhill Road to I-75 at the northern Oakland County line will start on Monday, July 22. The road will remain open to traffic; however, motorists can expect delays.
During stage one of construction, contractor Ace-Saginaw Paving of Flint will work on the project from Grange Hall Road to I-75, to complete the paving by Aug. 18 when the Michigan Renaissance Festival opens. Stage two, from Grange Hall to Oakhill, will begin Aug. 19 and be completed by mid-September. There will be lane closures from Buckell Lake Road to Tindall Road. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
The $2.6 million, 7.63-mile project will include milling and asphalt paving, drainage improvements, and new crosswalks, guardrails, signs and pavement markings.
