Campers from Oxford Parks and Recreation Fun-N-Sun leaned over the pavement looking for sunflower seeds.
The goal was to spit the seed the farthest during the Hillbilly Olympics held last Wednesday.
It was the first (and probably the last time) the camp counselors would let the kids spit anything out of their mouths.
Other events during the Olympics included trash bag races, 3-legged races and a shoe kick – the counselors were impressed no shoes landed on the Oxford High School roof.
And for the kids wondering what the trick was to get the seed to go the farthest? It’s top secret and don’t try it at home.
