EDITORIAL: Kudos to arts council, DPW for garden work

Many thousands of The Clarkston News closest friends and neighbors streamed by our downtown home, and our front garden looked great thanks to the efforts of the Clarkston Cultural Arts Council and city DPW.
The artistically minded volunteers of the council already signed up to take care of the gardens across the street next to the Main and Washington street city parking lot, and decided to take on the 5 S. Main Street landscaping as well.
With the help of the city DPW, which supplied the mulch as well as labor, they cleaned out a ton of weeds and put in place lots of colorful flowers and plants.
Thank you! And the Cultural Arts Council is far from finished. Coming up later this summer is the DIA art in the garden. Be sure to look out for that and everything else they do!
