Everest closes spring season in three sports

The Mountaineers finished in second place at the MHSAA Lower Peninsula Boys Golf Division 4 State Championship at Forest Akers West – Michigan State University in East Lansing, June 10-11.
Clarkston Everest Collegiate finished with a two day total of 646 with 321 on day one and 325 on day two.
Junior Remy Stalcup tied for third place with a 151 total after the two days. Freshman Parker Stalcup finished in 15th place with 159 after two days; freshman Will Pennanen, 22nd, 164; senior Johnny Nedwick, 33rd, 172; and freshman Jimmy Schmitt, 90th, 200.
Lansing Christian finished as state champions with 622.
Everest Girls Varsity Soccer lost the Division 4, Regional 14 Semifinal to Royal Oak Shrine on June 7, 3-1. Celeste James scored the lone goal with 22:17 to go in the first half.
Everest Girls Tennis finished the MHSAA Division 4 State Finals tied for 11th place with nine points, June 3-4
Senior Moorea McNalley, seeded second in the Singles Flight No. 1 finished in second place.
