Two school records were set during the meet.
Katie Wolanin set the record at 5?3? in the high jump and Katherine Bosetti in the pole vault at 9?4.?
‘They both improved on the records they had tied last year,? said McDonald. ‘Katherine is a wonderful athlete to work with. It is great knowing that we will always get points in the events that she competes in.?
‘Overall I was impressed with both teams.?
Performances that stood out at Linden were Brie Barry, setting a personal record in the mile run with 5:42.
‘She has really grown into a steady contributor at each meet in the distance race,? said McDonald.
For the boys, Spencer Britt, Kevin Jickling and Mike Stumph had great finishes.
Senior sprinter Stumph placed first in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
‘He is a good athlete that has worked hard the past four years,? added McDonald.
Britt set his personal best in the 800 meter run with 2:00.8 and placed first in the 1600 meter relay and third place in the pole vault.
‘His leadership has been a great asset to the team over the last four years,? said McDonald.
Jickling took first in the pole vault with 12 feet and in the 1600 meter relay and placed second in the 800 meter relay and fourth in the 200 meter dash.
