Oakland County Parks and Recreation is offering free park entry on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and Thanksgiving, Nov. 26. During these days, visitors can enjoy free daily park entry with access to natural trails, dog parks and all park amenities.
Locally, Independence Oaks County Park is located at 9501 Sashabaw Road. Park hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset, or as posted at the park.
