Get a Taste of Clarkston

One of the area’s favorite events returns to fill downtown Main Street with yummy cuisine as local establishments pack the streets, offering visitors a chance to taste a variety of food from area restaurants.
This year’s Taste of Clarkston will feature over 35 restaurants on Sunday, Sept. 21, from noon until 6 p.m. A family event, the festival has live entertainment, games for kids and exhibits (see pages 26-27 for map).
The tasty festival will also include a Rotary Beer and Wine Tent in the Morgan’s parking lot and another beer tent, sponsored by Clarkston Lions Club, in the Clarkston News lot at the corner of Washinton and Main.
Don’t miss the ‘Tailgate Zone? featuring the Green Bay Packers versus the Detroit Lions football game, also in The Clarkston News parking lot.
The annual event is co-hosted by Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce, Independence Township Parks and Recreation, with some support provided by City of the Village of Clarkston.
Tickets to buy food from participating venues are sold in pack of ten or can be purchased individually for $1. Tickets required for dishes vary with some items costing just one ticket while other require more. On average, a main dish costs between 2-5 tickets.
Tickets are not accepted at the Rotary beer and wine tent.
