Rain left the back parking area behind the Clarkston High School stadium a muddy mess after last Friday’s football game.
After the game, a couple’s SUV got stuck in the mud trying to go home, said Dave Murphy, band parent volunteer.
“They got lucky that three guys from the Clarkston Marching Band Pit Crew happened to be walking by,” Murphy said.
Keith Dombrowski, Mike Herrmann, and John Ritter, also parent volunteers, were happy to help, but there was a cost.
“While helping them , the gas was pushed a little too hard,” M urphy said. “With wheels spinning, mud was thrown all over them as well as the cars behind it, giving everybody a muddy shower. Though covered in mud, the three Clarkston angels helped them get out and make it home. It is great to see good deeds still happening. Thanks guys!”
