Women’s Life Chapter 864 of Clarkston is sponsoring an awareness-raising event, “Human Trafficking, Not in my Backyard?”, on Thursday, Jan. 16, 7-9 p.m. in the Clarkston High School auditorium.
Speakers will include Nicole Bowers Wallace, author and producer of “Ring of Silence”; Edee Franklin, founder of Sanctum House; FBI, police task force, and emergency room members; and survivors of human trafficking. The purpose is to educate, inform, and inspire the community to stop human trafficking. Admission is free.
