Clarkston Village Players are preparing to present Laura by Vera Caspary and George Sklar on stage at Depot Theater.
Based on the 1942 novel and film noire, the classic mystery centers on the murder of a beautiful and successful advertising executive.
The investigating detective finds himself fascinated by the victim’s portrait and life, discovering quickly there are several suspects who may be the murderer.
Directed by Linda Payton, the show opens next Friday, running Fridays and Saturdays, Jan. 11-12, 18-19, 25-26, 8 p.m., $17; Thursday, Jan. 24, 7:30 p.m., $15; and Saturday and Sundays, Jan. 13, 19- 20, 2 p.m., $15, at the theater, 4861 White Lake Road.
