I recently heard Jeff Bezos of Amazon say how important it is to Stay Safe, Stay Home. Might I say he has a vested interest?
LOOK AGAIN. CHOOSE WISELY.
Why did you choose Clarkston? Maybe you chose to live in C-Town because of the friendly atmosphere. Who sponsors your kid’s sports team or is a band booster? Who makes sure there is funding for local parades and a safe CHS graduation night? Maybe your kids are grown and you don’t care about all that. Maybe you don’t have kids. We are all Clarkston.
I like Clarkston and all it represents. I shop at Rudy’s Market, Essence on Main, Clarkston Village Fashion Boutique, KH Home and Nieman’s. Every week, we enjoy dinner from Andiamo’s and Crispelli’s. Soon I’ll shop at the new clothing store downtown and anyplace else open in town.
Right about now you might wonder why I spend the extra buck or 10 when I could buy online. My husband and I chose to move to Clarkston more than 30 years ago because of the community represented right here. It’s HOME.
•Do you want another empty storefront? I don’t.
•Do you want your neighbors to have a job in town? I do.
•Do you enjoy the local news? Me, too!
Here’s the secret sauce about a community paper: the writers actually care and write about events happening here. Want state and national news? Yeah, you can get that anywhere. Want to know about your community? It’s in the CNews. It’s the GOOD news. It’s the story of us. It’s the stories of our community that made you so happy to move here in the first place.
