Man charged in Bueche’s robbery

A Groveland Township man has been charged after robbing Bueche’s Food World last month.
Jason Raymond Niemenski, 26, was arraigned on a charge of larceny from a person on Jan. 15 in front of 52-2 District Court Judge Joseph Fabrizio. He was released on bond on Jan. 26. According to police reports, deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Brandon substation and state police troopers from the Groveland Post were advised at about 1:06 a.m. Jan. 15 to be on the lookout for a white male in a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and gray underwear that had grabbed money from a till at the grocery store located at 400 Ortonville Road. The man was reported to have fled on foot eastbound on Oakwood Road. A Brandon deputy who checked the records for a vehicle in the Bueche’s parking lot that didn’t belong to any of the employees tracked it to a home in the 300 block of Jossman Road. He made contact with the owner and learned that Niemenski had just called and asked to be picked up because someone was after him.
The deputy requested the man call Niemenski back. While he was doing so, another deputy outside heard a phone ringing. The deputies walked toward the sound of the ringing phone, which was coming from the woods. Niemenski came walking out of the woods, dressed only in white shorts and a t-shirt. When the deputies asked him where his clothes were, he responded that he took them off and threw them in the woods. When the deputies asked him if he knew why they were there, Niemenski said, ‘yeah,? and added that he owed a lot of money and doesn’t have a job.
