Independence Elementary teacher Corena Bell led students in the 14th annual Peace Walk, Jan. 18, to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Students made signs sharing what they learned about the late civil rights leader and his messages of peace and hope. They marched through the school to the cafeteria where they had a school assembly.
