The Road Commission for Oakland County issued a permit Monday allowing Clarkston Community Schools to close Maybee Road from Sashabaw Road to Clintonville Road in Independence Township from July 6 to Aug. 2, for work to improve access to North Sashabaw Elementary School.
During the closure, access to homes and businesses in this section of Maybee Road will be maintained.
The detour for through traffic is Sashabaw Road to West Walton Blvd. to Clintonville Road, back to Maybee Road, and vice versa.
The work is being done by Asphalt Specialties Inc. on behalf of the school district.
