The new McLaren Cardiovascular Institute in Independence Township uses the latest procedures to treat cardiology conditions and diseases.
“We’re excited to be in the community and happy to expand our partnership,” said Dr. Timothy D. Logan, D.O.
“As part of McLaren Health Care, McLaren Oakland is committed to enhancing the level of cardiology care provided to the northern Oakland County community,” said Chad Grant, president and CEO of McLaren Oakland. “This is the first step in a comprehensive expansion of our cardiovascular service line, adding the highly skilled and experienced physicians of the McLaren Cardiovascular Institute.”
Physicians practicing within the McLaren Cardiovascular Institute also include Beth A. Bowling, M.D.; M. Blair DeYoung, D.O.; John F. Kazmierski, D.O.; Brian M. Litch, D.O.; Larry R. Rothstein, D.O.; and Sibin K. Zacharias, M.D.
The group of board-certified cardiologists moved into the new location at 6507 Town Center Drive in April. They offer echocardiography services, cardiac stress testing, cardiac rehabilitation and a wide range of vascular services.
Expanded cardiovascular capabilities include innovative techniques and procedures to treat chronic total occlusion, pulmonary embolisms and deep vein thrombosis, chronic heart failure and other forms of heart disease.
“Technology is cardiology is always changing – it’s important to have the most advanced tools and technology,” Logan said.
The Town Center Drive location is excellent, Logan said.
“We have a nice office here,” he said. “We don’t have to travel too far. It’s close to people in Ortonville and Oxford, accessible to north Oakland County, and it’s right off I-75.”
The office is part of their focus on north Oakland County, with plans to expand cardiovascular capabilities at McLaren Oakland in Pontiac, McLaren Clarkston, as well as offices in Oxford and Lake Orion.
McLaren Cardiovascular Institute is the hospital’s first fully-employed dedicated cardiology practice of specially-trained physicians.
“We’re expanding along with the community,” he said.
Additional physicians are scheduled to join the group and begin providing care in September.
