The Clarkston-Area Backyard Birders Club will meet at The Gateway lifestyle store on M-15 on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The meeting will include discussion of bird issues, recent developments, and preview of migration highlights and what observers can expect to see at area nature centers and wildlife preserves as well as in their own backyards. Members will share stories of recent sightings and peak birder experiences.
“The new year got off to a terrific start for the Clarkston-area Backyard Birders Club with a new record for attendance at our January meeting,” said Bob McGowan, president. “Our guest speaker, Mark Jones, gave us fascinating insights into the world of our local bluebirds.”
