Disney fans enjoyed the beach-heavy movie “Moana” at Deer Lake Beach under a clear sky during Clarkston’s inaugural Movies in the Park, July 31.
The first of the movies, hosted by Independence Township Parks and Rec with sponsors McLaren Clarkston, Genisys Credit Union, and Bowman Chevrolet, was scheduled for July 19 but it was rained out.
That movie, “Wonder,” has been rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 23, starting at dusk in Depot Park in Clarkston, said City Manager Jonathan Smith.
The series also includes “Spider-Man into the Spiderverse” on Thursday, Aug. 15, in Clintonwood Park, with free entrance to the spray park before and during the show, starting at dusk.
A Fright Night Double Feature will be on Friday, Oct. 25, featuring “Hocus Pocus” at 7:30 p.m., and “Scream” immediately following, inside Brady Lodge at Bay Court Park.
Light concessions will be sold onsite. Admission is free.
