National Day of Prayer in Clarkston

Clarkston-area churches are coming together to celebrate National Day of Prayer with a breakfast and program on Thursday, May 5 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 6805 Bluegrass Drive.
The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a program with Clarkston resident Mike Blicher, music by Dave Bennett, and a special prayer for the Ukraine.
The community is invited. Tickets are $15 and available at the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as at Clarkston United Methodist, Church of the Resurrection, Sashabaw Presbyterian, Clarkston Community Church, Wayside Church, Kensington Church, Calvary Lutheran Church, North Oaks Church, and St. Trinity Lutheran Church.
The designation of National Day of Prayer became a public act in 1952 known as Public Law 82-324 and signed by then-President Harry Truman.
The churches in the Clarkston community have celebrated National Day of Prayer for many years.
