Cunningham and Fields law firm celebrated the grand opening of their new location at 7250 Dixie Highway, Suite 300, on Oct. 19.
“We all really like the extra space – we don’t have to borrow a room anymore,” said attorney Thomas L. Howard.
The 2,200-square-foot facility includes two mediation conference rooms and is decorated in an industrial, rustic look.
“We wanted a modern building,” said attorney Laurie K. Cunningham. “We miss being downtown, the excitement and buzz, but not the parking fiasco.”
They were located in the old post office building on Main Street for 15 years. When they started, the Clarkston Mills parking lot was open for free parking and there were fewer downtown restaurants, so parking wasn’t a problem. Things have changed since then.
“Lawyers and clients would be driving around, looking for parking. They’d call and say they’d be in as soon as they found a spot,” Cunningham said. “We had to leave.”
