At last week’s Clarkston City Council meeting, two new ordinances received final approval. 
The first one will prohibit short-term rentals (less than 28 days) in residential districts starting 12 months from the effective date of the new ordinance, estimated to be October 1.
The second one creates a Residential Planned Development District for sites larger than one acre, providing some flexibility in the regulation of the land development when public benefit features are offered.
