Public Notice: Independence Township, Waldon Village PUD amendment, August 3, 2021

CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF INDEPENDENCE
NOTICE OF APPROVAL OF
MAJOR PUD AMENDMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at a regular meeting of the Charter Township of Independence Board of Trustees held on August 3, 2021, the Township Board approved the second reading and adoption for a major amendment to phases I, II, III, IV, and V to the site plan for a Planned Unit Development (“PUD”) commonly known as “Waldon Village II.”
Such amendments approved for second reading and adoption include: 1) amendment to phase I, “Towns at Waldon Village” to reflect 132 for-sale Townhomes; 2) amendment to phase III, to increase acreage from 9.92 acres to 11.3 acres and increase in square footage from 85, 975 sf to 86,000 sf; 3) amendment to phase III to increase the number of for-sale condos from 51 to 78; and 4) an amendment to phase V to decrease the “park” area from 16.7 acres to 7 acres, which shall be restricted as private open space for the benefit of Phases I, II, and IV of the Development and their successors and assigns.
A true copy of the Ordinance Amendment is on file and available for viewing between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Independence Township’s Clerk’s Office, 6483 Waldon Center Drive, Clarkston, Michigan 48346.
The motion to approve this rezoning was moved by Trustee Ritchie, Seconded by Clerk Neubeck.
The vote on the motion was as follows: Yes: 7; Absent: 0; No: 0. The motion carried.
