NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ZONING ORDINANCE MAP AMENDMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting, held at 6:00 p.m., on January 4, 2022, at the Township Hall located at 6483 Waldon Center Drive, Independence, MI 48346, the Charter Township of Independence Board of Trustees approved the second reading and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance Map Amendment summarized as: Changing the zoning classification of approximately 3.04 acres of real property from R-1R Rural Residential to R-1A Single Family Residential with conditions. Such Property is legally described as:
PART OF SW ¼ OF SE ¼ OF SECTION 21, T4N, R9E, INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN, DESCRIBED AS THE EAST 198 FEET OF THE WEST 331.94 FEET OF THE SOUTH 669.44 FT OF SW ¼ OF THESE 1/4 PARCEL CONTAINS 3.04 ACRES
having Parcel Identification No.: 08-21-400-009
more commonly known as: 6232 Waldon Road, Clarkston, Michigan

The motion to approve this rezoning was moved by Trustee Ritchie, Seconded by Clerk Neubeck. The vote on the motion was as follows: Yes: 4; No: None; Absent: Aliaga, Brown, Nallamothu. The motion carried.
A copy of the text amendments is on file in the Planning & Zoning Department office and the Township’s Clerk’s office. A true copy of the rezoning ordinance can be inspected or obtained at the office of the Township Clerk and may be examined during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
