Just before the governor issued the shelter-in place executive order, Clarkston Girl Scouts Eva and Charley Bousho from Troop 75949 donated dozens of empty cookie cases to the Lighthouse of Clarkston.
They called ahead and found the smaller boxes would be welcomed. The boxes will be packed with snacks and other essentials families in need can “grab and go,” without having to stay long, said Michelle Robinson of Lighthouse. Lighthouse remains open and available to serve those in need. Call ahead at 248-620-6116 to confirm current needs. Donations can be taken to their office at 5850 Dixie Highway.
