The City of the Village of Clarkston is working to restore full power to the electronic “your speed is” speed limit sigh on northbound Holcomb Road, said City Manager Jonathan Smith.
“After talking with the manufacturer, I believe the cause of this outage is twofold, consecutive days of cloudy weather and very heavy northbound traffic,” Smith said. “The sign on the northbound side sees considerable traffic, triggering the lights to be operational, much more frequently than the sign on the southbound side.”
Recommendations include adjusting the software settings and upgrading the solar collector on this sign to a larger capacity, he said.
