Third times the charm for JV

JV racers finished the season ruling the slopes.
The Clarkston Girls JV Ski team won the Don Thomas JV Championship for the third year in a row and finished first place in the Pine Knob High School League JV Divisionals.
They scored 23 points for their first place finish at the Don Thomas JV Championship out of 14 teams, Jan. 29.
Audrey Brancheau led the team in the Giant Slalom race finishing in first place with a combined time of 37.44. Elke Roeser finished in second place in a time of 38.54; Sydney Draksler, third place, 41.77; Vanessa Milcallef, 17th place, 44.93; and Nicole Smith, 37th place, 48.21.

During the Super G, Brancheau finished first place, 18.65; Roeser, second place, 18.92; Draksler, sixth place, 20.61; Milcallef, 21st place, 22.21; and Smith, 42nd place, 24.21.
The boys finished in fourth place out of 16 teams with 65.5 points.Everett Baetens led the team in the Giant Slalom finishing in fourth place with the combined time of 37.23.
Alexander Damone finished in 15th place in the time of 39.75; Bo Begley tied for 17th place, 39.85; Bedford Muzzy, 29th place, 41.00; Max Ashley, 33rd place, 41.74; and Hunter Houghton, 63rd place, 49.59.
During the Super G, Baetens finished in third place, 18.37; Damone, tied for 11th place, 19.08; Houghton, tied for 13th place, 19.19; Begley, 19th place, 19.37; Ashley, 21st place, 19.46; Muzzy, 24th place, 19.79; and Richie Majewski, 56th place, 21.89.
The girls finished in first place out of nine teams at the Pine Knob High School League JV GS Divisionals, Feb. 2, with 32 points.
Brancheau led the team and the race, finishing in first place, in combined time of 36.31. Roeser finished in second place, 37.15; Draksler, sixth place, 40.60; Milcallef, 23rd place, 44.47; and Smith, 33rd place, 46.86.
The boys finished in third place with 48 points out of nine teams.
Baetens led the team, finishing in third place, 35.59. Houghton finished in tenth place, 37.44; Begley, 17th place, 38.28; Damone, 18th place, 38.55; Muzzy, 26th place, 39.24; Ashley, 28th place, 39.36; and Majewski, 41st place, 45.74. ~WARP
