At 8:35 a.m. on Feb. 21, a 20-year-old White Lake man was driving a 2006 Toyota Camry northbound on White Lake Road, had a sudden medical episode, ran off the roadway to the right, struck street signs, two light posts, the fence of Lakeview Cemetery, veered left, crossed the roadway, struck a tree, and came to a stop after striking two unoccupied parked vehicles within the parking lot of the Deer Lake Racquet Club.
The man was medically evaluated at the scene by Independence Fire Department and cleared. It appears the driver suffered a seizure. A family member arrived to pick up the uninjured driver.
Deputies were able to contact the owners of the unoccupied vehicles to inform them of their damages. Nobody was injured because of the accident.
